It's Christmas - so what better way to celebrate the spirit of the season than to watch "Raider's of the Lost Ark"? As I watched for the millionth time (I love this movie - my crush on Indiana Jones evolved into me wanting to be an archaeologist as a serious career choice) I remembered the rumor I had heard that you could see R2-D2 and C-3PO in the hieroglyphics in the Well of Lost Souls. I've never been successful in locating them. But it turns out that the RUMORS ARE TRUE! They are only visible for a split second so you really have to know what you're looking for (thanks Urlybits). BEHOLD:
It has never been easier to access information. Answers are never further than our computer, smartphone or tablet and "let's google it" can end most disagreements. You know you've done it - lyrics, slang, viral YouTube video... Barely a day goes by that I don't find myself entering some bizarre search term into Google - like the time I searched "female equivalent cock-block" because I was sure such a phrase had to exist (btw it's called a "clam jam"). So what have I googled today?

Golden Globes 2013 Best Picture
For the past several years, I have made it a goal to see all the Oscar best picture nominees before the award show airs. As if that weren't enough, last year I went back and watched every best picture winner in the 83 year history of the Oscars (Netflix didn't have 2 of them available on dvd - so I resorted to buying them on VHS through Amazon.com. YES - I said VHS.)
I haven't seen a movie in months - and that was "Pitch Perfect" (I doubt it picked up a best picture nod from the Foreign Press - but American audiences are unpredictable). Since there seems to be a strong correlation between Golden Globe nominees and Oscar nominees for best picture - I figured I could get a jump start following today's announcement. Here is the list of Golden Globe nominees for best picture (a full list of nominees can be viewed here
